Making Sense of It: A Brief Attempt at Self-Expression is a philosophical big history project that I've been working on forever, which is still nowhere close to completion and probably won't be for a while. The hope for the book is for it to tell the story of itself, starting at the very beginning. So the book progresses from the big bang, to the origins of life, to the age of perceiving and acting creatures, to rational beings like ourselves, and, finally, to itself, wrapping itself up as something that makes sense of it, the whole shebang, by making sense of itself. This one will likely be more or less on the back-burner for a while, but I'm excited about the prospect of completing it someday . . .
